Lift & Slide systems are a kind of automatic parking system where the selected parking space is moved through an automatic control system and the parking spaces can be shifted vertically or horizontally. Entry level platforms only move horizontally and higher level platforms move vertically. Using the loyalty card or entering the code, the system automatically moves the platforms to the desired location. To egress a car parked on the upper level, the lower level platforms will first be moved to one side to provide an empty space into which the required platform descends.
