Merlo Stabilized Telehandler (P40.14)
The Panoramic 40.14 offers ease of use and essential features. This model has been developed to meet the needs of every construction site, rental company and large construction company, ensuring record performance and economic efficiency.
PERFORMANCE
Everything at your fingertips
Exclusive precision:
Guarantees maximum movement precision, thanks to the hydrostatic transmission, which ensures millimetric variations in the machine’s movements and load’s positioning.
Compact and lightweight:
The Merlo telescopic handlers are compact and lightweight to reduce manoeuvring space and impact on the ground. These features guarantee safety, manoeuvrability, productivity and lower consumption.
Visibility:
Merlo telescopic handlers are designed to offer the best visibility on the market, ensuring faster and safer operations.
STABILISERS
Chassis levelling:
The tilt correction system, integrated into the chassis, is available as standard on this model. It allows the operator to offset the ground slopes to work in total safety. On sloping terrain the operator can correct the lateral inclination by 8% on each side, reaching 24% with the combined action of the stabilisers. This allows the telescopic boom to be moved out perpendicularly to work in conditions of maximum safety.
Boom side-shift:
This model is equipped with the exclusive boom side-shift, a system integrated into the telescopic boom that allows the load to be positioned without further manoeuvring, consequently saving time, avoiding stress and improving the machine’s productivity.
The system allows for a boom side-shift up to 690 mm.
COMFORT
The best workplace
Quiet and comfortable:
The new cab, of generous dimensions, is mounted on Silent Blocks, which drastically reduce vibrations, guaranteeing maximum comfort and maximum visibility for the operator.
Quick accessories changeover:
The Tac-Lock system for hydraulic clamping of the attachments further improves operating comfort.
Protection of the handled load:
The boom suspension system (BSS) is available as an option, which protects the load during transfer and maintains a high level of driving comfort on rough terrain.
SAFETY
Not just feelings
Record-breaking safety:
The Merlo integrated safety system controls the operating parameters in real time, allowing the operator to work in peace.
Certified cabs / Certified protection:
The Merlo cab is FOPS – Level II – and ROPS certified, to guarantee a high level of safety for the operator.
Everything under control:
This model is equipped with the exclusive new generation CDC (Dynamic Load Control) Light safety system. The dynamic load control system checks the safety parameters of the telescopic handler in real time and allows the operator to work in total safety, making the most of the telescopic handler’s potential and the attachment used.
EFFICIENCY
Simpler and smarter
Simple and precise operations:
The entire range is equipped with hydrostatic transmission, which makes the work phases simpler and more precise. Moreover, the dry disc brakes limit the absorption of energy, thereby reducing the machine’s fuel consumption.
Merlo designers have adopted technologically advanced diesel engines, advanced hydrostatic transmissions and axles equipped with dry disc brakes, which help reduce power absorption.
The diesel engine/transmission management takes place electronically to optimize performance and minimize energy expenditure.
Deutz 75 HP engine:
This model is equipped with a Deutz Stage Tier IIIB four-cylinder engine with 75 HP (55.4 kW) of power. The engine complies with anti-pollution regulations with DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst). This ensures simplified maintenance and less worries for the operator.
Speed 33km/h:
This model offers a maximum speed of 33 km/h.
Load Sensing:
The variable displacement pump with Load Sensing hydraulic distributor guarantees greater performance, more efficiency and productivity and at the same time limits consumption and wear of the components. The transmission system is managed in such a way as to guarantee a high starting point, fluid progression and optimization of cycle times and consumption.
Merlo conceives and produces its axles internally, which are thus made and sized to measure for each application, enhancing performance and safety for each model.
Portal axles:
The portal axles are made with a pinion/crown type reduction gear and ensure ample ground clearance. The kinematic structure reduces noise and pitching during braking and acceleration, improving cornering and travel under load.
Three steering modes:
Merlo telehandlers offer three steering modes: front wheels only, corrected vault and crab. The exclusive solution adopted on the axles ensures the maximum steering angle for maneuvering in confined spaces.
Four-wheel drive:
The drive wheels always in mesh are synonymous with maximum traction in all operating conditions.
Braking:
The power-assisted integral braking system acts on all four wheels for maximum safety in any working context.
Parking brake:
Activates automatically when the engine is switched off or manually from the cab.
The stabilizers of the PANORAMIC range are structured in a simple way to optimize a fast and safe installation. The exclusive design of the outriggers, developed to offer high structural resistance, guarantees a limited size of the same in the operational phases, always remaining within the outline of the machine and limiting the visual dimensions during the transfer phases. The independent control allows the single operation of each stabilizer, allowing easier positioning on the ground, moreover, the shape of the support foot guarantees excellent anchoring to the ground even in the case of soft or steep terrain.
Merlo designers have created a robust, compact and lightweight telescopic arm, today the reference standard in terms of design, load capacity and speed in carrying out the work. The steel chosen is of the structural type with welding along the neutral bending axis, a straight arm in any extension or load condition. The boom is made in three sections: maximum lifting height of 13.5 meters for unparalleled versatility. The components including the boom extension cylinder, the hydraulic lines and the electric cables are placed inside a cartridge structure inserted in the boom, this exclusive solution significantly increases the longevity of the components and makes the external shape clean and free of grips and allows quick maintenance operations.
ZM2:
The ZM2 type tool carrier allows all Merlo equipment to be hooked up. The hydraulic locking of the implements is carried out from the cab, while the hydraulic and electrical connections are quick-coupling.
Tac Lock:
The attachments are easily replaced thanks to the exclusive Tac-lock system for hydraulic locking of the attachments, further improving operating comfort. Hydraulic and electrical outlets: At the end of the arm there are hydraulic and electric sockets, which allow the movements of the various usable equipment to be activated directly from the cab.
